Love

Thanks to the neighbor-baby's auntie for this amaaazing photo of my two loves. Leaving them was hard this morning (made more difficult by a little cold that has made Molly more than just a little clingy), but the first day went really well. I even scored a cubicle next to a window!

Hi-ho, Hi-ho...

It's off to work I go...

Yes, tomorrow I start yet another job.

For those who have been counting, this will be the eighth office* that I will work in since becoming pregnant with Molly. Hopefully job shifting will settle down for a little while here. (heck, the biggest drawback I could find for the new office was that people kept warning me that nobody ever leaves!)

Tomorrow I start work in the design department of the local regional parks district. It promises to be a good, mellow place to work. Heck, right off the bat they make it clear that they have a 37.5 hour work week! And, as friends and family kindly remind me, it's the job I've wanted since before I went to grad school. The only problem is the working full time thing. It's been so nice to have so much time with Molly. And so much flexibility. But the pay is great, the benefits frankly rock, and at some point we have to start living within our means or expanding our means to meet our living. So we've shifted things around, and added some time with the babysitter, and even though Molly tries to convince me that she couldn't possible stand to have me leave her with the sitter, I know they have fun when I'm not looking.

And now, more cute pictures of Molly, (who has another cold):

(above) Mommy dresses me funny; But I like walking with her anyhow.
(below) Achoo!; Asleep with the straw;

Making noise with the cup is fun; and loud!

* Hmm... can I even remember all the offices I've worked in recently?
1) the environmental planning job (which actually had 2 offices, but I'll just count this as one);
2) CAD work for the hydrology office;
3) the design job in the City;
[pause to give birth to the most amazing Molly ever];
4) the design job close to home
[quit because working overtime every day wasn't my idea of being a working mom];
5) CAD work for the high end residential;
6) CAD work for the guy I interned with before; and
7) CAD work for the firm across the bay that the guy I interned with before is helping.

We're back in action with a brand new camera! Be warned. ;)
