The other solar crew

While Uttam & his crew worked on the roof (safely, I might add), Clara, Molly, & I had our own adventures.

we're going solar...

the panels are up, but there's a lot to do before we're running the meter backwards (installing the inverter, cutoff, some other wiring, plus about 500 nails and 300 bolts still to go in the attic). Thanks to everyone who's helped so far!

Clara's New 'Do

Clara's got bangs! I got tired of gently extracting her hair from her booger-caked face (poor girl) so I did a quick snip. It's still long enough for her signature pig-tales, though.

In other news, we've been really busy working on the house. Next weekend we'll be putting solar panels up (yay!) - but there's been a ton of work to do to get ready. We've basically had to rebuild the roof structure under where the panels will go - the rafters were so far over-spanned there was no way to simply reinforce them. The roof work is almost done (only about 500 nails and 300 screws to go!), much thanks to Sean, Uttam, Charly, for their labor, and to Paula, Nona, Nana, Meg, and Julia for their kid-watching.

Happy 4th Birthday Molly!

We had wonderful birthday celebrations for Molly's fourth. She was absolutely thrilled! Every time someone sang happy birthday for her she just sat and smiled and looked around. And then she would tell me that she didn't sing because it was *her* birthday.

These pictures are from her Birthday Morning, her Birthday circle/lunch at school, her Birthday Dinner (at Rolling Dunes, specifically requested because they have pasta + cheese that she's very fond of), and at her Birthday Party at the Carousel with friends.

Monday Fun-Day

Molly mastered a new move on the bar today at her gymnastics class, then huddled with her Nona in the wind after class; Clara, though still nursing at every opportunity, takes bottle-feed her "baby" very seriously.
