January Pics - Molly and the Blue Oval

January Pics - Heads Up!

Yes, I know this is old news at this point. But back in early & mid-January, this was quite exciting (and exhausting)!

January Pics - Favorite Things

January Pics - More Clara Faces (at home)

Yes, more pictures of Clara's face. :)
(taken January 14, 21, & 22)

January Pics - More Clara Faces, Outside

Mid-January, out and about: at Inspiration Point on 9 January, at Crown Beach on 12 January, and somewhere else on 17 January. (Since it rained most of January, we can assume that these might have been some of the only days that were not completely rainy).

Clara's Early January Faces

These were taken in the first few days of January...

January Pics - Big & Little

Molly loves trucks, and when we visited the fire station / maintenance yard we spent a lot of time looking at the equipment. Here, we're discussing (actually, debating) big & little: First, Molly is bigger than the wheel & the wheel is smaller than Molly; Now Molly is smaller than the wheel & the wheel is bigger than Molly!

January Pics - A Day at the Park

Actually, these are from a couple days at the park, but you get the idea. Looking at these pictures is an interesting reminder how much of a difference a month and a half makes in Clara's life at this point!

(these were taken in early- & mid-January at our local park & at Crown Beach)

Molly the Comic

(Molly watches Sofia fry up some eggs.)
Molly: You're frying them because it's FRIDAY!
Sofia: Actually, it's Saturday today.
Molly: Are you going to SATUR it?

hair cut

With our fancy new hair cutting scissors. When Nona was here we searched high and low for hair cutting scissors that didn't have deadly sharp tips. We finally settled on ... dog hair cutting shears. I can hear it now - when Molly's 15: "Yes, dear, I really did cut your hair with dog hair cutting shears."

New Trick!

(for the record, this was taken "way back" on the 9th).

Check out her big sister in the same pose back in July '05 here.

What we did today

We had a lovely spontaneous visit today to the Richardson Bay Audubon Center and Sanctuary in Tiburon. Zach's high school friend, Joe, has recently started working there as a naturalist. He was great explaining all sorts of things to Molly (why are there holes in the rocks? what are these things on the rocks? etc).

PS. I'll try to catch up on more posts. It's been a marathon of colds & viruses here. Every time I think we're done we start another round.

[Sofi prepares to accept another handful of rocks to examine; Molly, Sofi, & Clara enjoy some beach exploration; Molly examines the "black" sand; Zach & Molly hike up the hill; Zach, Joe, & Josh (all high school friends) pause on the decline.]
