At GGPa's

on Saturday we were lucky to have a wonderful visit with GGPa (Henry) and GGMa (Marcia) at their place. Clara got very snuggly with Marcia and Molly enjoyed making word games for everyone to play.

First Grader!

by all accounts Molly's first day of school was great. She started at a new school (we switched her just to be closer to home) and seemed totally comfortable. She's in a class that "looped", which means the teacher and the class were together in Kindergarten and stayed together for first grade. As luck would have it, there are two other new kids in the class ... and one of them is a friend from preschool!

Molly

Although Molly looks like a sullen teenager (especially in the second photo), I happen to know that she was, in fact, playing "baby" and "doll" with her sister at the Santa Monica farmers market. And in the last photo, Clara was leading Molly-the-doll on some sort of adventure.

as part of their last hurrah at the pier, the girls each turned into terrifying dragons! Rarrr!

Mobigo

The girls each have their own hand-held game thingy (aka "Mobigo") courtesy of their fantastic GGPa. And so far we've been able to keep them for use only in the car and only on long road trips. Or in LA, which is just like a long road trip.

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center

Unfortunately, Zach's grandfather (GGPa) had to be hospitalized while we were here. He's home and seems to be doing well, but while he was at the hospital Zach went to visit him. The girls weren't allowed up to GGPa's room, but Marcia came down and visited with us on the Plaza while Zach visited in with his grandfather.
