Moose & umbrellas?

We're having a lovely time out here. The other night we went walking after dark to look for puddles and lights. We found both. Can you guess what Christmas-themed scene Molly was describing when she exclaimed: "Moose! Umbrella!"? Here's a hint: think of a classic styled umbrella's handle...

In other news, the weather's been great for the beach. Molly spent nearly an hour playing in the edge of the surf today. (these pictures were taken yesterday when it was a little cooler, windier, and fuzzier).

family time

we've had a wonderful week with all the many family members, and now we're enjoying some time with just the three of us again. And lots of eggs.

ps. you may notice the blog looks a little different. Blogger has been "upgrading" the service and we just got upgraded. There's loads of new features, like "labels" and template editing. And there's also an option to require a login to access the blog. We're not sure if we'll use that option, but just as a heads up, we might. I'm not sure how many folks are reading this blog anymore, but for those of you that are, rest assured, we'll give you plenty of notice and try to make it as painless as possible. :)
