Back in March (!) during Nona's last visit (!!) I took these pictures of the girls finger painting in the kitchen. Not sure why I didn't post them sooner...
Emily came to visit recently. We had a great time with her. Here are some pictures from our trip to Fairyland - I particularly appreciated Emily's perspective on Molly's "contemplative" enjoyment of the rides (it's all good).
The school portraits this year weren't as painful/funny as last year. I think Molly was more comfortable with the situation (and knew what to expect). The photographer even got a few "candids". They did two days of pictures, and Molly was very excited to pick out special shirts for each day: the "star"/Takoma Park shirt for the first day, and her favorite trucks shirt for the second. We'll treasure this moment or color and theme diversity, because the next week purple officially became her favorite color and more and more of her outfits revolve around working purple into the color scheme.
Nona's visiting again and we've already outdone ourselves with pictures. Here are some cute ones from this afternoon:
Molly picking sweet peas from our garden; Molly eating sweat peas from our garden; the bottle brush tree; Clara in the living room; Clara tries out Nona's cane (Nona sprained a muscle in her hip, so she's been using the cane to help it heal).
