Book worm

Molly's caught the reading bug. She stayed up tonight to read under the covers. She read this whole book (The Wednesday Fairy, part of a series of short chapter books about fairies) and came out to tell us when she was done. As she says: "I didn't even stop at the chapters!"
And in case we thought she didn't understand or follow the story she retold me much of it as I tucked her back in.

Circus Showcase

Molly's Circus Development class had a showcase today. They got to do a short performance among the older circus performers. It was really cute! The pictures are a little fuzzy (it's hard to get a good photo in that gym!), but her exuberance and the fun shows through, I hope.

I love Olives

On Saturday we went out to Soul Food Farm and helped pick olives for their olive oil. It was beautiful, and lots of fun. The kids picked some olives, but mostly they ran around the farm. Clara spent almost the entire day carrying this cat "Mac Jaggar" around (which seemed to suit him just fine). Molly played with other kids, threw sticks for one of the dogs, and generally chilled out.
On Sunday we sat with Nona and Opa and prepared some of the olives that we took home for turning into yummy olives. Can't wait to see how they come out!
