I wish I could remember what we were talking about!

Beach + Pier = Fun!
We were lucky enough to get to hang out with Tommy and Amanda at the beach (and at the Pier) this afternoon. Here they are, in all their glory. The Molly & Clara don't like going in the water (it's cold! who can blame them?) but I made them their own private tidepool-in-a-bucket and they spent ages digging through it and finding sand crabs and other treasures. Then it was off to the Pier to begin a long afternoon/evening of rides, bad food, and overall fun!
Muscle Beach
We started off the day this morning with a bike ride down to Muscle Beach. The girls were fantastic on the busy bike path, and enjoyed themselves at the playground, but were creeped out enough by the many muscle-ey men working out on all the equipment there. So after a little acrobatics show on the rings, we headed back to the apartment.
(2nd) Cousins
We had a lovely afternoon yesterday with the Meyers Cousins (I guess, technically, they're second cousins, but who's counting?). The only disappointment was that it wasn't warm enough to go swimming. Ah well!

An afternoon with GGPa & GGMa
And we had a lovely afternoon with Zach's grandparents. We filmed Molly doing a short interview with Henry about his life, and we looked at their art. And took pictures before we headed off to dinner.
Swinging on the Beach
We had a lovely day on the beach today - including a fun bike ride to some swings about a mile away. The bike ride was particularly notable because of what it meant for Clara. Just a short six months ago when we were here in August, Clara was extremely upset that we wouldn't let her ride on her own on the bike path. We had our reasons (the bike path is like a freeway for bikers and runners, and the fact that she couldn't ride on two wheels were the primary ones), and she got to go on a tag-along-bike behind Zach. But she was so upset that when we got back to Berkeley she said: I want to learn to ride a two-wheel bike so I can ride on the bike path in Santa Monica. And she did. In almost no time at all she was cruising around the neighborhood on two wheels. We upgraded her bike and now she zips around even faster. So she was really proud of herself today when she biked on the path (and stayed to the right, passed on the left, just like a big person!).
Plus, we had fun on the swings. As you can see, Molly's circus acrobatic training is paying off! :)
