Picture Day

The kids had picture day at school a few weeks ago. They were really excited and had a lot of fun getting ready that morning. I couldn't help snapping a few of my own pictures!

Aunt Christel

We had a lovely visit with my aunt Christel and my cousin Mattias. Christel seemed to enjoy herself with the kids and the cats!

Missing Teeth

Molly lost some more teeth this month! Here she is, showing off her new smile and bloody tooth (note the monkey-bar-worn hands in the 3rd picture). This one was lost while standing on King Street reading a neighborhood history panel on the playground fence back on October 26th (she lost the matching bottom tooth about a week before that).

Clara's B-Day Party

Pictures from Clara's birthday party, waaaay back when.

The weather was perfect, the friends were fun, the glitter tattoos and pumpkin decorating was a hit. What more could you ask for when turning 5?

Wicker Fence

In a moment of inspiration, several months ago, I bought a bundle of wicker from Ikea. Last week I finally executed my plan: to weave a tiny little fence for the front yard. Not much, just enough to give it a little boundary. It was fun, and I think it looks pretty nice (Indy seems to agree!). It just needs a few more plants now...

Halloween

Another fantastically fun (although a little wet) Halloween is behind us. Molly dressed up as a devil (or a Sewer Devil, to be exact) using the amazing sequined costume Nona found in August in a Burning Man costume bin. Clara dressed up as a Kitty-Ghost-Bat. Yes, all three at once. Kitty mask + tail, bat wings, and the ghost part was painting the bottom half of her face white. Amazingly, once she settled on this idea about a week before Halloween, she stuck with it, right through the end of the day.

Here are pictures of the kids at the school celebrations, the kids at home, with their pumpkins, and with some neighbors.
