Morro Bay

Last week we traveled south to San Diego. After a grueling drive down, we decided to take it easy on the way back. Zach found a lovely spot to stay overnight at Morro Bay where we enjoyed the views of the rock, sea lions, sea otters, fishing boats, and even the three towers of the power plant. Plus, I got to take a few "glamor shots" of our car's new dots.

Clara's cupcakes

The kids have been mildly obsessed with watching cupcake decorating videos on youtube recently. So you can imagine how thrilled clara was to be invited to a friend's house to decorate cupcakes! Here are some of her creations that she brought home to share.

It's not fair!

Memorable scene from this afternoon: Nona and I are in her kitchen fixing the disposal. The kids are playing in her room. We hear some yells, then Clara enters the kitchen, crying.

C: Molly hit me AND shoved me and I only hit her!

Nona and I stifle our laughs, and I snuggled her in my lap.

Me: are you okay? Are you asking for help or did you just want a cuddle?
C: I just wanted a cuddle. And It's not fair.
Me: yeah.

Minutes later, Nona gave her some blueberries to share and they are coloring together nicely.
