Wetsuited

After our sunburn experience, we went looking for full cover swimsuits like we used to have. No luck finding those, but we did find some cool wetsuits, which I figured would be useful for swimming in the lakes around here!

The wetsuits were great, but Molly was still quite uncomfortable due to her sunburn. She did give it a good go, and ended up having a nice time splashing around with Zach. Clara jumped right in and was thrilled with the boogy boarding.

The rental house (and the neighborhood) was super cute... (and so was Molly!)

Sandy Kids

In the afternoon, we explored the "main" beach at La Jolla. Or, should I say, the kids explored putting sand on their heads at the beach? (black and white pictures by request of the kids)

Windansea Beach

Pictures from our first morning at the beach. Although I carefully sun screened everyone before we headed out, I completely forgot to account for the swimsuits. So, unfortunately, the poor girls burned to a crisp in the areas that were uncovered after they took their shirts off. Lesson learned. For all of us.

In the mean time, they clearly had a blast!

Oh, and did I mention that the rental house had a hot tub? Win!
