SMOAC: Alcatraz (January 2013)
Our SMOAC to Alcatra actually took two days. We forgot to account for how popular the island is, and didn't get reservations on our first day. Luckily, we were able to get reservations for the next day, and so we repeated our adventure. We had a nice time taking BART to the street car on Embarcadero. The girls tried the audio tour of the prison, but found it to be too scary and uninteresting for their taste. We had a better time simply exploring and looking around on our own.
When Sofi Babysits (January 2013)
first I pay them to weed the front yard, then I take the kids on the bus to Berkeley Bowl and let them buy candy with their hard earned money. Super Win? or Super Fail? They did get a lesson in economics, and spent a long time figuring out how to get the maximum amount of sugar for their pennies.

Happy Birthday Nona!
I'm sorry we can't be at home to celebrate with you, but in honor of this birthday I have scheduled out 38 (yes, thirty-eight!) posts over the course of your special day. Approximately every 40 minutes you should be able to check out Tuchus and enjoy one or more pictures from our adventures this past winter.
