New Year's meander

We had a toned down version of our traditional New Year's Day hike - just a meander down the Berkeley Pier. Molly tromped around in her super-cool new footie pajamas (yay me & Nona!). And we were joined for part of it by the O'Jaggars. Happy new Year!

Snow trip: Sledding

Last week we had a wonderful, short stay up in the mountains with some friends from the kids' school. They seem to have found the one spot in the mountains that has snow right now (we are experiencing a pretty severe drought). Lucky us! There was the typical antics: snow eating, sledding (can you find the picture where Molly gets big air?!), snowshoeing, and hanging out. Plus a few more fun things like: walking on a frozen lake (a first for me!), building the bottom part of an igloo (aka, a fort), and helping our friends settle into their new mountain house.

Molly & Indy are deep into Harry Potter, while Zach & Clara have biked off for bagels. All is good.
