Molly's Other School Picture

The past two springs another school picture company has come to take pictures. Here's Molly's result. Quite a different style of school picture!

Indy on the desk

Indy hasn't strayed far from the house since she got back. She sometimes goes outside, and sometimes wanders around to the front of the house, but mostly she hangs out in some of her usual spots: on the couch, on the blue chair, on a shelf, or in a kid's drawer. In a total classic cat move, she also likes to sit on my desk while I'm working. The unfortunate part about that (besides the difficulty in keeping her off of the keyboard!) is that she's not all that athletic, so getting up onto the desk is a little tough (it's a tall desk). She tries to use my lap to help her up, but usually ends up with her claws in my thighs. Ouch! 

And, yes, that is a dreidel on her collar. Why? No particular reason. The cats loose their collars a lot, so I try to pick up collars from the discount bin at the pet food store. This one has lasted longer than usual - she actually has been wearing it since before her disappearance! Maybe she likes Hanukkah? 

Indy reads with Molly

One of the things we missed about Indy was her enjoyment of reading. She is great company for those of us who like to sit and read for a while - whether it's me reading to the kids (she comes and plops herself right on my chest between my face and the book, which is super helpful!), or Molly reading to herself. As long as we don't pet her too much, all is good and everyone is happy. But sometimes (usually?) she gets a little, um, scratchy if she gets too much petting during reading time.
