I'm really proud of myself for figuring out how to do "Clara Barton" hair for Clara's Halloween costume:

The kids have been telling me about this candy, which they call "old people candy." I didn't believe it existed until I finally laid eyes on it tonight.

American Girl

American Girl Doll has arrived - a very generous gift from Nana and Pa for Clara's birthday. She's thrilled - thank you!

Opa is home!

He arrived safely last night and went right to bed. We had breakfast together this morning and his first request was for me to cut his hair. Request granted! 

Ironing

The kids are installing a curtain divider in their room. Here is Clara getting into the ironing (and wearing the apron she made with Nana!). 

New glasses!

Clara got a new prescription and new glasses! She can see again!

PS there is so much going on in the first photo: the glasses, the poppy seeds in her teeth, the new earrings, and the baby tooth that refuses to fall off, even though there is another tooth almost entirely grown in!
