Trying to stay cool after a long day in Manhattan. The red stuff was supposed to be cherry. Molly said it tasted more like wax. But was good anyway.

Out to dinner last night with Nouri, Jesse, and his son Charlie. We noticed the beautiful sky. 

The unfortunate case of scaffolding at the African Burial Ground National Historic Monument

We stopped at the African Burial Ground on our whirlwind tour of Manhattan. The Visitors Center was interesting, and the memorial is pretty nice, but the effect was considerably dampened by the scaffolding covering the entire memorial. It has to do with work being done on a nearby building.
