Happy 2019!

We rang in the new year with our traditional table, candles, small gifts, and banter about what we usually do or don't do. Here's some pictures (for the record, Molly did make a "dime cake" and Zach got the dime!):

Mojave 2018 - Hole In The Wall Part 4

More scenes from the "Rings" hike and the Hole In The Wall area, including the Spanish Daggers plant, which apparently can live thousands of years (and is really sharp!).

Mojave 2018 - Hole In The Wall Part 3

More holes in the walls, and the rings that give the Ring Trail its name.

Mojave 2018 - Hole In The Wall Part 2

We did the "Rings" hike, which takes you past petroglyphs (Molly didn't touch them!) and lots of, well, holes in the walls.

Mojave 2018 - Hole In The Wall Part 1

The first two nights we stayed at the Hole In The Wall Campground and explored the surrounding area, which is really different than the Kelso Dunes area. Lots of (really old!) pokey plants and beautiful views.
