Clara got a big kick out of the firetruck ... and Snickers-the-dog was a good sport about playing along.

Art in the Clubhouse

Molly adores the clubhouse at Nana & Pa's house (who wouldn't) and loves doing art out there. I'm pretty sure this is when she was sitting down and making a list of everyone's names so they could write what they're thankful for.

Felt Board

Nona School

Back in early November there were a series of short school days to accommodate parent-teacher conferences. Molly was upset about missing school, so Nona and Molly set up a "Nona School" where Molly was the teacher. Clara even wrote a very clear "C" on the chalkboard! (and promptly erased it).

Tegan's Birthday Present

After a month of watching Molly pick out birthday presents for her friends, Clara was thrilled to finally get in on the action. Yesterday she picked out a cute decorate-your-own frame for her buddy Tegan. We threw in the super cute photo of the two friends). Today she got to give it to Tegan. Clara was disappointed that she didn't get to open the present herself, but when Tegan's parents emailed this shot of the decorated frame Clara looked at it for a few moments and then said:
"Beautiful".

Molly in the Autumn

On the walk home Molly spotted these beautiful leaves and asked for a photo in them.

The walk home also included a discussion of the different sounds "A" makes - she was surprised that "A" can sound like "O". We compared "Autumn" to "Octopus". And laughed at the extra "n" in "Autumn". And how it's a "t" and not a "d" in the middle. I guess, until now, it's been "odum" to her. :)
