We were lucky enough to get to spend the afternoon with Aunt Deb and her youngest son, Lyle. The girls were endlessly entertained by Lyle's storytelling and imaginary play. And they were fascinated by the books that Deb brought out. Plus, we had a great time playing cards and visiting with Evan, Irwin, and Zach when they got there for dinner.

Reading Together
On one of our lazy mornings at home I noticed I hadn't heard a peep from the girls in a while. I looked over to see that they had curled up together in the arm chair and Molly was reading stories to Clara. The joy of being able to read - and the joy of having a big sister that will read to you!
Adena's First Passover
We were honored to be invited to share Adena's first Passover dinner with her (and Judd & Tybe, too of course!) It was a lovely dinner, and provided us lots of opportunity to talk about the role of religion and ritual in the world and in the lives of our family members.
Ten Minutes on the Bike Path
One of my favorite things about the place we stay in Santa Monica is watching the world walk, bike, run, and otherwise go by. Almost every time we've been here I've done a "ten minutes on the bike trail" collage - and this one may be my favorite because Molly & Clara got involved. So here, in a true family collaboration, is our latest "ten minute" series, starring the people of the bike path, plus Molly & Clara, with music added by Zach (song is from The Six Parts Seven "Everything Wrong is Right Again").

Pool day
Having a great time at the Santa Monica pool, eating sno cones and soaking in the sun. We even enjoyed the super friendly folks on the Big Blue Bus on the way over. :)
