Pinecrest - Nature Walk

On the first day of our latest trip to the snow, I enjoyed a nice hike in the woods on my own. Here are some "artsy" photos I took during that walk. The weather was beautiful, although that meant there was only patches of snow. The lake was still mostly frozen over (more on that later!).

And here are the pictures from playing in the snow on Sunday before we headed home. The warm weather was quite a contrast with the cold snow, which brought up several questions for Clara, including whether or not it was still winter, and why the snow hadn't melted.

Spicer Sno-Park

We just got back from a beautiful trip up to the snow. It was a bit last minute, and there wasn't tons of snow, but it was loads of fun. Plus, it turns out that kids really only need a small patch of snow to be satisfied. It's the adults that really want the huge snow pack. Oh, and all the people who rely on the snow pack for water during the rest of the year.

We went with the lovely Erica, Haidar, Zade, Suki, and Moonie, all of whom only added to the fun. Here's pictures from our first day when we drove up to Spicer Sno-Park and found some fun spots for sledding, tromping around, and hanging out.
