Cache Creek

We spent our second Memorial Day weekend at the farm - it was hot, but not nearly as hot as last year. And there had been a recent release of water into the Cache Creek, so the kids enjoyed a good long swim with Mabel and Olive.

The Chair

I've been eyeing this chair design that I saw in a book a few weeks ago. It seemed like it was a good combination of simple to build and useful.
So yesterday I decided to just try it. I grabbed a cheap piece of knotty pine and very quickly cut it mostly to design. This morning I screwed on the two braces, and voila! It's done.
These pictures show Clara on it, but it also fits an adult comfortably.
