Linse!

Many weeks ago, as we were riding in the car (with Nona, if I recall correctly), Molly suddenly exclaimed "Linse!" (rhymes with "rinse") and burst out in an uncontrollable giggle. As the giggle subsided she exclaimed again: "Linse!" and again burst out laughing. If we dared ask her what "Linse" might mean she would only respond with more hysterical laughter. We chalked it up to toddler sillies, or perhaps something she learned with Paz.

However, last week some time, Molly picked up a certain toy at our house and again exclaimed "Linse!" (with the accompanying laughter) and suddenly I realized this was not a random sound that she thought was funny. This was her attempt to say "slinky!", which I guess is pretty tricky for 2 year old tongues. And, if you think about it, slinkies are pretty friggin hilarious.

ps. happy birthday dada! (or, as Molly said: "Dada, would you like a birthday?")
