A day of bonks
The day has been so filled with bonks today that you would think the girls were competing to see who could get a more dramatic hurt. Clara started out in the lead by getting bitten by a goat and jumped on on a trampoline. But Molly made an end-of-day attempt at gaining the lead by cutting her head on the bed post. All in all, I'd say they came out even, and really it just tells me we had yet another excellent day.
The day started out hot again, and we thought it would be a mellow day playing at a playground in the Stadtpark. That on it's own would have been exciting enough - the park was much more exciting than most playgrounds, with lots of things to climb on and in, water to play with, and fun swings. But then my cousin Mattias' wife called and invited us to spend the rest of the day with them at a bigger playground north of town. It turns out this was much more than a playground - I can only begin to describe it as a somewhat surreal, Waldrof style amusement park. The pictures only begin to do it justice. Needless to say we had a fantastic time, but it was exhausting!
And then, to cap it off, my aunt Christel came into town and we enjoyed a quiet dinner on the Untermarkt under the windows of my great-grandmother's house (where apparently my grandmother nearly fell out a window).
