Zoo Lights
Tonight each girl got a special "date" with one of their parents. Molly & Zach went into SF for dinner and some music. Clara and I were joined by Uncle Nouri for dinner (at Addie's Pizza Pie!) and then off to see the Zoo Lights. It was lovely and we were reminded that it would be good to do this more often. The girls were both much happier and more relaxed afterwards.
The first photo below is the sketch Nouri did on the paper table cloth of Clara enjoying her dessert. The rest is them being completely silly!
Little Farm
We met up with Clara's classmate, Danny, at the Little Farm today. It was fun to find Prima (from our past goat-milking share) and feed her some celery. Clara quickly grew tired of feeding the celery to the animals and just wanted to have Molly & Danny feed the celery to her. Last night we got the sad news that the director of their preschool died unexpectedly, so it was nice to be with another preschool family.

Carmel Valley
Last week we enjoyed a wonderful stay with Nana and Pa in Carmel Valley. I'm not quite sure how it happened, but somehow I took no photos on that visit. Maybe it's because I took so many the last time? Well, lucky us, I found photos from the last day of our last trip (over Thanksgiving) that I haven't yet posted. So, let's enjoy those and imagine they were taken last week, shall we? :)

Molly's Advertisements, circa 2008?
I found a slip of paper that I'd written down some funny advertisements Molly made up. I remember her announcing them - but of course I didn't write a date on the paper. I can only assume it was in that first year of Clara's life - maybe spring of 2008?

Kid sits upside down!
And it's safe!
Dress
uncomfortable,
but it's pretty!
Plastic Bag
with hands & it's mean.
It can grab stuff from your bag
& throw it far away.
Glad to see that she got a hang of advertising at an early age. :)

Winter Walk in the Woods
For Christmas day we went for a hike in Redwood Park. The pretense was to search for ladybugs. Rumor had it that if we were lucky we might find huge clusters of them! We weren't lucky in finding the ladybugs (we only found two or three) but we were lucky in having a wonderful hike!
Plus, Zach and I got to share stories with the girls of when we first met - and when we went on a hike on this very trail. :)
