This afternoon when we were enjoying a quiet moment in the car with the girls Molly initiated a game of "red light green light", likely inspired by the red and green lights we were encountering (duh!). I said "red light!" she said "stop!". I said "green light!" she said "go!". She mixed it up a couple times, but mostly got it right. And when I threw out "purple light!" she didn't miss a beat. "Banana!" she exclaimed.* I love that she has a sense of humor and enjoys word play as much as we do.*Note: I actually can't remember exactly what she said, but it was something silly like "banana". If you'd like, you can think of a word that might sound silly to a 2.5 year old and use that word. :)
PS. Zach very wonderfully has been getting up with Molly when she decides that 5 or 6 am is a good time to be up. This is the fruit of their latest morning project (and efforts to keep the house relatively quiet for me - thanks monkeys!)
