Planting a Memory

At the beginning of May we finally planted an apple tree. And Clara's placenta. It's been sitting in our freezer for four and a half years, waiting for us to decide where to plant it. And when we decided to plant the apple tree, it seemed like the time was right to put the placenta in the ground as well. So we dug another hole a few feet over and said goodbye to the placenta, and hello to all the memories of that amazing birth, and our amazing family.
